On the cover, immunoproteomics – the study of protein and peptide targets of the immune system. Shown in this schematic is a peptide bound to class I MHC and ligated to a T cell receptor. Multidimensional chromatographic separation of MHC-bound peptides allows mass spectrometric detection and analysis of individual components of the complex immunoproteome and epitope identification. For details, see the article by Purcell and Gorman, pages 193–203.
