These guidelines were formulated by the group of experts listed below at a two day workshop held in Copenhagen, Denmark, April 24-25, 2008, that was sponsored by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. They are meant to ultimately help standardize the presentation of findings in this very important area and will eventually be adopted by Molecular and Cellular Proteomics. The panel responsible for their creation now wishes to post them for a period of public comment and invites suggestions and criticism. Such feedback will be very useful in the final stages of fine tuning and should be submitted to R. A. Bradshaw, Co-editor of MCP, at rab@cgl.ucsf.edu by July 15, 2008.
