Important Change and a Reminder for MCP Authors
Authors are reminded that all manuscripts accepted by ASBMB publications appear as Papers in Press (PIPs) immediately upon acceptance and these remain freely accessible on the journal website at all times following the initial posting. Neither transfer to PubMed Central or opting for immediate release (Author’s Choice) affects PIPs.
ASBMB has changed our NIH deposit policy to assist our authors.
All MCP manuscripts will be sent to PMC at the time of publication with a 12 month embargo. This new policy meets all NIH requirements and eliminates all author requirements regarding deposit of their papers to PMC.
The $50 Deposit fee to PMC has been eliminated. There is no reimbursement for authors that previously paid this fee.
We continue to offer “Authors Choice” for immediate access in PMC and the journal website for an additional $1,500 for ASBMB members and $2,000 for non-members. This fee is in addition to page and color charges. Author Choice is the recommended method for publishing for authors funded by Wellcome Trust, HHMI and authors that desire immediate access.
